In-form sides Derby and Sheffield Wednesday meet for a tight contest in League One. A point may be the best Gillingham can hope for hosting Salford City in League Two. While a mid-table clash between Eastleigh and Boreham Wood in the National League could also result in the spoils being shared. We’ve looked through the fixtures in this weekend’s Classic Pools coupon and selected five we think have the potential to end in a classic draw.

3 – Derby v Sheffield Wednesday

Derby hosted Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship during the 2020-21 season and it ended in a 3-3 draw, their third stalemate in their last five meetings.

Derby are just one point outside the play-off spots in League One and are unbeaten in their last five league matches (2W, 3D). The Rams produced a second-half come back to win 2-1 at Newport County in the second round of the FA Cup last weekend.

Sheffield Wednesday are unbeaten in their last seven league games (5W, 2D) and picked up a third consecutive victory in all competitions when they beat Mansfield 2-1 in the FA Cup last Saturday.

38 Sheffield Wednesday wins

5 – MK Dons v Burton A.

Both MK Dons and Burton are on 14-points and sit 21st and 22nd respectively in the relegation zone, 6-points from safety.

MK Dons won 3-1 hosting Newport County in the EFL Trophy last week, but couldn’t replicate the success in the FA Cup on Saturday and were beaten 3-2 at Portsmouth.

Burton drew 3-3 with Charlton and 2-2 with leaders Plymouth in their last two league fixtures and comfortably beat Chippenham Town 6-1 in the FA Cup last weekend.

3 MK Dons wins

2 Burton wins

11 – Gillingham v Salford City

This League Two encounter will be the first ever meeting between Gillingham (23rd) and Salford City (9th).

Gillingham haven’t won a league match since the beginning of October, they’ve drawn four and lost four of their eight league games since. Last weekend they scored an injury-time equaliser to avoid an upset and draw 1-1 at Dagenham and Redbridge in the FA Cup.

After going six games in all competitions without a win (4L, 2D) Salford beat fellow League Two side Bradford City in 1-0 in EFL Trophy last week.

20 – Inverness CT v Dundee

Inverness edged a 3-2 victory over Dundee in the reverse of this Scottish Championship fixture back in September.

After a winless run of six matches (3L, 3D) Inverness finally clinched a victory when they beat Stirling Albion 3-2 in the Scottish Cup last weekend.

Dundee are unbeaten in their last seven league games (4W, 3D) and last weekend beat Airdrieonians 6-2 in the Scottish Cup, scoring four of their goals in extra time.

30 League Encounters

13 Inverness wins

3 Dundee wins

35 – Eastleigh v Boreham Wood

Eastleigh will be looking for a measure of revenge after losing 3-1 visiting Boreham Wood in the first round of the FA Cup in early November.

Eastleigh are 12th and level on points with 11th placed Boreham Wood in the National League. Eastleigh will come into this following three straight defeats, but have only lost one of their ten league matches at home this season (7W, 2D).

Boreham are without a win in their last six league matches (3L, 3D), but enjoyed a 2-0 victory away at League One Bristol Rovers in the 2nd round of the FA Cup last Sunday.
