The wait is over and a new Premier League season kicks off this weekend. Bournemouth are back in the top-flight and their opening fixture against Aston Villa could be a close contest. While a clash between Leeds United and Wolves at Elland Road could also see both sides pick up a point. We’ve provided recent form and head-to-head statistics for 5 fixtures we think have the potential to end in a score and no score draw.

1 – Bournemouth v Aston Villa

Bournemouth have won their last three meetings with Aston Villa 2-1, the most recent were in the Premier League 2019-20 season.

Bournemouth achieved automatic promotion from the Championship last season and ended that campaign unbeaten in their last eight matches (4W, 4D). The Cherries have lost their last three warm-up games 2-1 to Sporting Braga, 1-0 to Bristol City and 2-1 to Real Sociedad.

Aston Villa finished 14th in the Premier League last season and were winless in their final four matches (2D, 2L). They came from behind to win 2-1 visiting French side Rennes in a friendly last weekend.
