Annan and Inverness meet in the group stage of the Scottish League Cup competition. The teams will meet in the Scottish League One this coming season, but their only other encounter was a 4-0 win for Inverness in the League Cup back in 2009.

Scottish Championship side Falkirk host Premiership Dundee United in the group stage of the Scottish League Cup. Dundee United won 1-0 visiting Falkirk in this competition last season, but Falkirk won 4-2 in their following Scottish Challenge Cup encounter.
Falkirk were promoted as League One champions last season, they completed the league campaign unbeaten with twenty-seven wins and nine draws.
Dundee United were promoted back into the Premiership as Championship title winners last season, ending that campaign unbeaten in their last seven matches (5W, 2D). They’ve since won back-to-back friendlies over Brechin (2-0) and Annan (2-0).
