Brazil’s top tier Serie A and the USA’s MLS are in the mix for this weekend. We’ve looked through the games and provided recent form and head-to-head statistics for five matches we think have the potential to end in a possible draw.

Cuiaba vs Atletico GO

Seven of the nine meetings between Cuiaba and Atletico Goianiense since June, 2019 have ended in a draw. Their most recent clash was in the Brazilian Serie A in 2022 and finished 1-1.

Cuiaba thrashed 9-man Fortaleza 5-0 at the weekend, ending their own five-match (3L, 2D) winless run on home turf. Cuiaba will visit Sao Paulo midweek before returning home to face Atletico Goianiense.

Atletico Goianiense came from behind to win 2-1 away at Fluminense at the weekend. Prior to their midweek fixture against Criciuma they had lost just one of their last five matches.

DC United vs Houston Dynamo

DC United and Houston Dynamo have not met since the 2022 season. DC won 2-0 at home, beating Houston for the first time in their last six meetings.

Prior to a midweek fixture against Atlanta, DC are winless in their last six matches. Their last two home games have ended in draws with Chicago Fire (1-1) and Toronto (2-2).

Houston Dynamo’s last two away games finished 2-2 at both Portland Timbers and Atlanta United. They will return to the road after hosting Seattle Sounders midweek.

Portland Timber vs Vancouver Whitecaps

An 87th minute goal decided Portland and Vancouver’s meeting in the reverse fixture back in March, Vancouver edged a 3-2 victory and have now won three of the last four meetings between the teams.

Portland will go into their midweek fixture unbeaten in their last four matches, following wins over Sporting Kansas (2-1) and Austin (2-0) with draws against Houston (2-2) and St Louis (0-0).

Vancouver recorded recent wins over Sporting Kansas (2-1) and Colorado (2-1), but lost 3-2 visiting New England last weekend. They’ve managed just one win in their last five away games.

6th placed Sogndal host leaders Kongsvinger in Norway’s second tier OBOS-Ligaen. This fixture finished 3-3 last season, Kongsvinger won 1-0 in the reverse.

Sogndal have won five, drawn five and lost three of their thirteen league matches this season. They drew 2-2 with Egersund in their last home game and won 2-1 visiting Lyn last weekend.

Kongsvinger suffered just their second league defeat this season in a 5-0 loss hosting Asane last weekend. They drew 4-4 with Aalesund in their last away game.
