The Scottish League Cup and the top leagues of Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden and Norway are fixtures this weekend. We’ve looked through the games and provided recent form and head-to-head statistics for five matches we think have the potential to end in a possible draw.
Morton vs Alloa
The Scottish League Cup competition continues this weekend and Scottish Championship side Greenock Morton host League One Alloa Athletic. They last met competitively in the Championship in the 2020-21 season, in three encounters Morton won 1-0 followed by two draws of 1-1
In three League Cup matches this season Morton have lost away at East Fife (3-0) and St Johnstone (2-0), but beat Brechin 1-0 in their home game.
Alloa beat East Fife on penalties after a 0-0 draw in their first group match. Last weekend they won 3-1 at Brechin and on Tuesday evening two goals from Luke Rankin helped them to a 3-2 win over St Johnstone.
