The 2024-2025 season in the Scottish Professional Football League kicks off this weekend and features on this weeks classic pools coupon. We’ve looked through the games and provided recent form and head-to-head statistics for five matches we think have the potential to end in a draw.

2 – Dundee Utd vs Dundee FC
The Scottish Premiership 2024-2025 season kicks off this weekend and Dundee United and Dundee FC contest their first Tayside Derby in two years. The spoils were shared in the last meeting between them in a 2-2 draw back in April, 2022.

Dundee United won promotion as Scottish Championship winners last season and start their new campaign in good form, winning three of their four Scottish League Cup matches in the past month.

Dundee FC finished 6th in the Scottish Premiership last season and have also performed well in the Scottish League Cup this past month, winning all four matches and scoring 18 goals in the process.

St Mirren and Hibernian met three times in the Premiership last season. St Mirren won 3-2 away in the first, followed by a 2-2 draw and St Mirren’s 3-0 away win in their last meeting back in February.

St Mirren drew with Fleetwood (2-2) and Carlisle (2-2) in their last two pre-season friendlies and drew 0-0 away at Icelandic side Valur in the second qualifying round of the Europa Conference League last week.

Hibernian have won three of their four Scottish League Cup matches this past month, most recently progressing to the next round with a comfortable 4-0 victory over Peterhead.

Hamilton managed just one win from four Scottish League Cup matches recently and suffered three defeats. They were beaten on penalties after drawing 1-1 at Raith Rovers last weekend.

Ayr clinched a 3-2 victory over Buckie Thistle in the Scottish League Cup last weekend, making three wins from their four cup matches. They also performed well in their pre-season matches with three wins and a draw from their four friendlies.
