Brighton can give Chelsea a difficult time at Stamford Bridge and Brentford can get back on track against Wolves at Molineux. We’ve looked through the games in our Classic Pools competition and provided recent form and head-to-head statistics for five fixtures we think have the potential to end in a pool draw result this week.
1 – Chelsea v Brighton
Brighton thrashed Chelsea 4-1 at the Amex Stadium back in October. Both Premier League meetings between these two last season finished 1-1.
Frank Lampard’s return as Chelsea manager ended in a 1-0 defeat at Wolves. The Blues have lost two and drawn two of their last four matches, heading into their midweek Champions League quarter-final with Real Madrid.
Brighton will feel aggrieved to have lost 2-1 at Tottenham last weekend, a result which ended their unbeaten run of seven matches across league and cup competitions. Three of the Seagulls’ last five Premier League matches on the road have ended in a draw.

10 Chelsea wins
1 Brighton win
4 Draws
8 – Wolves v Brentford
Wolves and Brentford played out a 1-1 draw in the reverse fixture in October, Ruben Neves equalised for Wolves 2-minutes after Ben Mee’s volley had put the Bees in front.
Wolves started the month with a 1-1 draw away at Nottingham Forest, but their 1-0 win hosting Chelsea last Saturday moved them 4-points clear of the drop zone.
Brentford are winless in their last four matches, they drew with Leicester (1-1) and Brighton (3-3), before losing to Manchester United (1-0) and Newcastle (2-1). No team have more away draws than Brentford’s seven this season.
29 League Encounters
13 Wolves wins
12 Brentford wins
4 Draws
10 – Blackpool v Wigan
The bottom two teams in the Championship meet when Blackpool host Wigan this Saturday. Wigan came from behind to win 2-1 in the reverse fixture back in November.
After stunning QPR with a 6-1 victory last month, Blackpool have lost four league games on the spin and conceded 13 goals in the process.
Back-to-back defeats to Sheffield United (1-0) and Swansea (2-0) in their last two matches leaves Wigan rock-bottom and 8-points from safety.

12 Blackpool wins
17 Wigan wins
8 Draws
12 – Q.P.R. v Coventry
Coventry are looking to climb into the play-off spots, while QPR are hoping to stay clear of the drop zone. Coventry were 2-0 winners in the reverse fixture back in November.
QPR stopped the rot of four straight defeats by coming back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 at West Brom on Monday.
Coventry have drawn five of their last eight matches. They were 2-0 down at half-time hosting Watford on Monday, but goals from Matty Godden and Ben Sheaf earned them a point in a 2-2 draw.
109 League Encounters
38 QPR wins
44 Coventry wins
27 Draws
20 – Bristol Rovers v Derby
David McGoldrick’s hat-trick helped Derby to a 4-2 victory over Bristol Rovers at Pride Park back in October.
Bristol Rovers are looking for a third consecutive victory after beating Charlton (1-0) and Fleetwood (2-1) in their last two matches.
After three straight defeats last month, Derby reignited their play-off push with a 2-0 win a Forest Green last week, but were held to a 1-1 draw hosting MK Dons on Monday.
