Pool Result Today Saturday Week 20 Pool Result for Sat 18 Nov 2023 – UK 2023/2024

Euro 2024 qualifying continues during the international break and Wales aim to book their place in the tournament when they take on Armenia. Wrexham are chasing the top spot in League Two when they visit Accrington and at the other end of the table the points could be shared between strugglers Forest Green and Grimsby. We’ve looked through the games on this weekend pools fixtures and provided recent form and head-to-head statistics for five matches we think have the potential to end in a draw.

1 – Armenia v Wales

Armenia and Wales meet for their penultimate Euro 2024 qualifier and the Dragons will be out for revenge after losing 4-2 to Armenia in Cardiff back in June.

Armenia need a win to have any chance of securing automatic qualification. After a draw with Turkey (1-1) in September they’ve lost their last two qualifiers to Croatia (1-0) and Latvia (2-0).

Wales beat Latvia 2-0 and Croatia 2-1 in their last two qualifiers. Wins from their final two group matches will secure their place in next summer’s tournament.

3 Encounters

1 Armenia win

0 Wales wins

2 Draws

12 – Scotland v Norway

Late goals from Lyndon Dykes and Kenny McLean saw Scotland come from behind to beat Norway 2-1 in Oslo back in June.

Scotland have already qualified, but have the chance to finish top of the group if they win their final two qualifiers. Scotland were thrashed 4-1 visiting France in a friendly last month and return to home turf after visiting Georgia for their penultimate qualifier on Thursday.

Norway’s 1-0 defeat to Spain last time out ended their automatic qualification hopes and they will now depend on the play-offs route. They will host Faroe Islands for a friendly before heading to Hampden Park.

19 – Accrington v Wrexham

8th placed Accrington host 2nd placed Wrexham in League Two. The teams haven’t met since the 2007-2008 season, where Wrexham won 2-0 in this fixture and Accrington won 3-1 in the reverse.

Accrington recently enjoyed four league wins on the bounce, before suffering back-to-back defeats to Colchester (1-0) and Crawley (3-1). They’ve won five, drawn one and lost three of their nine league home games this season.

Wrexham are unbeaten in their last eleven matches in all competitions (8W, 3D). They made it three league wins on the spin with a 2-0 victory over Gillingham last weekend.

Forest Green are second from bottom in League Two and Grimsby are 4-points better off in 21st. Forest Green won 1-0 at home and 2-1 away when they last met Grimsby in the 2020-21 season.

Forest Green claimed two wins in three league home games last month, beating Colchester 5-0 and Crawley 2-1. However, they’ve suffered eleven defeats in sixteen league matches this season.

After four league defeats on the trot Grimsby stopped the rot with a hard-fought 3-2 victory hosting Morecambe last weekend.
