Silverware is there for the taking when Chelsea and Liverpool meet at Wembley for the EFL Cup final. While in the Premier League, Aston Villa will hope to strengthen their place in the top-4 when they welcome Nottingham Forest to Villa Park. We’ve looked through the games and provided recent form and head-to-head statistics for five matches we think have the potential to end in a draw.
1 – Chelsea vs Liverpool
The first silverware of the season is up for grabs when Chelsea and Liverpool meet at Wembley for the EFL Cup final this weekend. Three of their past four meetings have ended in a stalemate, including a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge in their opening Premier League game of the season. Liverpool won 4-1 when they met at Anfield last month.
Chelsea have played their last three matches on the road, winning 3-1 at Aston Villa (FA Cup) and 3-1 at Crystal Palace, before a 1-1 draw at Manchester City on Saturday.
Prior to their midweek fixture with Luton, Liverpool enjoyed four wins in their last five matches and have only lost four of their thirty-eight matches in all competitions this season.

3 – Aston Villa vs Nottingham Forest
Nottingham Forest won 2-0 hosting Aston Villa in the reverse fixture back in November. Forest had failed to win their previous six meetings with the Villans, losing four and drawing two.
Ollie Watkins scored both goals in Aston Villa’s 2-1 win at Fulham last weekend, which moved them back into the top-4. Villa have only managed one win from their last five home games, which was a 3-2 victory over Burnley at the end of last year.
Nottingham Forest recently endured a winless run of four league matches, consisting of narrow defeats to Brentford (3-2), Arsenal (2-1) and Newcastle (3-2), along with a 1-1 draw with Bournemouth. However, they moved 4-points clear of the drop zone with a 2-0 win hosting West Ham last Saturday.

Five of the last six meetings between Cardiff and Stoke have ended in a draw. It finished 0-0 when the teams met at the Bet365 Stadium in November.
Cardiff’s poor run of results continued on Tuesday with a goalless draw hosting Blackburn. The Bluebirds have lost five of their last seven league games and remain 14th in the table.
Stoke have suffered five defeats in their last six league games, the exception in that run was a 1-0 victory over relegation threatened QPR. The Potters lost 1-0 hosting play-off chasers Coventry last weekend.

14 – Sheffield Wednesday vs Bristol City

Sheffield Wednesday beat Birmingham City 2-0 in their last match at Hillsborough. The Owls then lost 2-0 at leaders Leicester, but then won 2-0 at Millwall last weekend.
Bristol City claimed impressive wins over Middlesbrough (2-1) and Southampton (3-1) this month, but fell flat in a 1-0 defeat to QPR last Saturday.
